The training floor at Threshold, racks and platforms under low light

Leeds  ·  Max 12 per class

Get strong. Stay boring.

No transformation packages, no leaderboards, no one filming themselves in the squat rack. Just the same six lifts, coached properly, twice a week, for years.

What we run

Three classes. That is the whole offering.

We could run fifteen. We would coach all of them worse.

Full timetable and what to expect →

Your first session

Nobody is going to make you sick on day one

01 Twenty minutes talking, before anything is lifted
02 A movement screen — ankles, hips, shoulders
03 The lifts, with an empty bar, until they look right
04 You leave with a written plan for eight weeks

Who coaches

Four coaches, all here full-time

No rotating freelancers. The person who taught you to deadlift will still be here in two years to tell you to stop rounding your back.

Ravik Onwe

Head coach

Opened the arch in 2017. Programming and barbell technique.

Thalia Quen

Strength coach

Return-to-training after injury. Very hard to impress.

Morden Brask

Conditioning

Runs Engine. Will tell you when to stop, and mean it.

Isolde Frejn

Coaching blocks

One-to-one work, beginners and nervous starters.

Members

What they said after a year

I have been to gyms where the class is a workout. Here it is a lesson. Two years in, I am still being corrected, which is the point.

Wren AstleyMember since 2023

Came back after a slipped disc. They spent six weeks not letting me load the bar. Frustrating then, obviously right now.

Calder NyxMember since 2022

No mirrors, no music you have to shout over, and nobody has ever tried to sell me a supplement. That is genuinely all I wanted.
